Assembly of French Nationals Abroad - Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne’s participation in the 34th session of the Assembly of French Nationals Abroad (8 March 2021)

Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, Minister of State for Tourism, French Nationals Abroad and Francophonie, attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, will speak today at the 34th session of the Assembly of French Nationals Abroad (AFE) which is meeting via video conference from March 8 to 12.

This final session of the AFE term following the elections in 2014 will provide an opportunity to review progress. The minister of state will seek to highlight the contribution of this representative body, through its recommendations, to improving the services provided by the government to our compatriots abroad.

In this context, Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne will also preside over the work of the permanent committee that brings together the parliamentarians who represent French nationals abroad (11 deputies and 12 senators) and the members of the extended AFE bureau.

The councilors and parliamentarians will be able to discuss the economic, social and educational impact of the pandemic and exchange views on the strong measures taken by the government to help our compatriots overcome these difficulties.

There will also be an update on the forthcoming elections of the councilors representing French nationals abroad scheduled to take place from May 29 to 30, and the election of the councilors of the AFE the following month.
