Guatemala – Investiture of Mr Bernardo Arévalo, President of Guatemala (14 January 2024)

France extends its congratulations to Mr Bernardo Arévalo, President of the Republic of Guatemala, who was sworn in on 14 January 2024 for a four-year term.

France welcomes the opportunity to work with President Arévalo’s administration on strengthening ties between our two countries, based on defending multilateralism, promoting international law, combating inequalities and protecting the environment and biodiversity.

France pledges to fully support Guatemala’s efforts to strengthen democracy and the rule of law.
