Poland – France welcomes the Polish Parliament’s election of Prime Minister Donald Tusk (13 December 2023)

France welcomes the Polish Parliament’s election of Prime Minister Donald Tusk and his government, with which we will be delighted to work on strengthening French-Polish relations in every area.

France wishes to work closely with Poland to tackle the challenges facing the EU and its member states, particularly Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine. Our two countries remain determined to continue our support for Ukraine in the long term.

Bound by their longstanding friendship, France and Poland are committed to moving the EU forward in such priority areas as the energy transition, the rule of law, defense and migration.
